Molecular biologist, a genius, John Roe O’Neill, is of Irish American descent, witnesses his family (wife and children) murdered in a bombing in a car in Dublin.  As revenge, he constructs a deadly gene-specific virus that has mortal effects on women only.This plagues spreads to Ireland, Libya and England and then to the rest of the world.

The government tries to destroy the spread of this deadly virus unsuccessfully by using radioactive dusts and fire.
